Private, In and Out Home Training
Dogs learn and act differently in different contexts.
Training takes place within the home where the behaviors
are to be learned or eliminated. The proper
set up of your home is also included. Training
also takes place outside of the home as part of your daily
life (e.g. walking, eliminating, playing etc.)

Obedience Training Tailored to Each Dog
All obedience training is off lead, consists of every essential command and is tailored to each individual dog. Housetraining,
the proper set up of your home, handouts,
ways to prevent behavior problems from developing and guidelines
for the total well being of your dog are also included.

Basic Obedience Training
In addition to the above, the Basic
Tier consists of 12 commands and includes: Sit, Down, Stay,
Come, Controlled Walking with Auto sits, Off, Leave it,
Give. Basic Obedience consists of five 1-hour
sessions with you and your dog. Includes
housetraining and treatment of problem behaviors such as
jumping, excessive mouthing and destructiveness as well
as the proper set up of your home and ways to prevent
behavior problems from developing.

Advanced Obedience Training
Follows the Basic Obedience
course. The Advanced Obedience Tier of commands
includes: Review of Basic Obedience with distractions,
Go to Place, Inside/Outside, Stand, Back up, Heel, Bring
the toy/remote/anything else; Tricks include Bow, Circle, Handshake,
High Five and Rollover. This Tier can be geared with a focus
towards further learning in the Obedience or Agility show ring.
Advanced Obedience consists of five 1-hour sessions with
you and your dog.
Accelerated Learning Program -Training while you are unavailable. For owners with limited time private training during work hours or other times when you are not available, also for owners who may have physical difficulties in fully participating in the training of their dog. This is an intensive program offering significantly less time and effort on your part and is an economical alternative to Board and Train, with the added advantage that training takes place in and out of your home in your dog's natural environment for maximum effectiveness. Dogs are trained to respond to verbal commands and hand signals, owner's attend every 3rd session where they are shown how to execute commands and maintain training. As with all programs, extensive handouts are also included. |

Treatment of all Problem and Abnormal Behaviors
An assessment, diagnosis and effective treatment program for all problem
and abnormal behaviors tailored to each dog, owner and enviornment.
Treatment of all types of dog aggression such as stranger, touch, dominance, territorial, dog-dog, aggression on leash/leash aggression, fear aggression, resource guarding, etc. Treatment of all fears, phobias and anxieties including separation anxiety, fear on walks, fear of noises, fear of objects, fear of people, fear of dogs, etc. Rehabilitation of dogs with impoverished backrounds, past history of abuse, trauma Stress free adjustments - dog new to home, changes within home, moves. Expert treating multiple behavior problems simultaneously. Successful treatment of behavior problems where other methods have failed. Clients are taught how to understand and predict their dog's behavior by accurately read their dogs body language as well as techniques to alter their dog's emotions. Clients are given a through understanding of the problem behavior, its causes and actively participate in the treatment program. Extensive handouts are also included. Number of sessions can vary based on the severity of the problem. |

Urban Dog Training and Problem Behavior Changing Group Class - Specific commands to focus and calm your dog and which your dog will be able to obey effectively in real life distracting, stressful, over-stimulating, new or anxiety inducing situations where other commands can often fail because your dog is too distracted, excited or nervous to listen. Effective, proven techniques to change your dog's agitated emotional state fueling problem behavior to a calm and positive one. This class incorporate elements of advanced training as your dog is trained to calmly react to you and your commands in difficult situations. ~6 Sessions. Class size is limited to 6 to devote the appropriate attention to each dog~ ~Location and Schedule To Be Announced~ Counseling Services Phone Counseling by Appointment:
For certain puppy, shelter/rescue dog, adolescent and adult dog topics, phone counseling is available. A 30 minute counseling session is $40, a 40-minute phone counseling session is $60, a 1 hour phone session is $70. Payment is via credit card or Pay Pal account. All phone counseling sessions include extensive additional handouts emailed directly to you. All phone counseling is directly with Christina Shusterich. Not appropriate for phone consultations: Serious behavior problems such as all types of aggression, intense fears such as full blown separation anxiety, phobias and other anxiety/panic related behaviors can not be adequately or responsibility addressed by phone counseling. Treatment for these problems requires a thorough, in person behavioral evaluation, diagnosis and my direct professional treatment program utilizing behavior modification techniques created to treat the problem behavior most effectively and expediently. It also requires treatment where the problem is actually occurring and direct and active participation and inclusion of the owner. Pre-Purchase/Pre-Adoption Counseling
Includes: Selecting the right dog for you and your lifestyle
including assessing the breed, exercise requirements
and temperament of your potential dog; Deciding whether
to purchase or adopt and where to do so; What age should
puppy or dog be when acquiring; The critical questions
to ask when purchasing or adopting; How to assess a
puppy or dog and the environment
you view it in. Also includes: Preparing your home and
family for your new puppy or dog including housetraining
and crate training, easing the transition and how to
help prevent behavior problems from developing.

American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test
Inexpensive and open to all breeds. A test of your dog's

certification of your dog as a Canine Good Citizen from the
